Just returned from an incredible holiday in Japan 🇯🇵 , and I am in awe of this amazing country! There is so much we can learn from their balance of tradition and innovation ⚖ Here are some key takeaways from our trip: 1. Discipline and Unity 🈹 : The society is built on a foundation of discipline and unity, the emphasis on collective well-being and mutual respect is evident. 2. Technological Prowess 🔬 : The disciplined approach has led to world-leading enterprises in mobility, sciences, and electronics among others. From high-speed Shinkansen trains to cutting-edge robotics and AI, the country is a hub of innovation. 3. Modern Tradition 🏠 : The seamless integration of technology into daily life, such as smart homes, cashless payments, and automated services, showcases Japan's forward-thinking approach 4. Preference for Local Brands 🎌 : Japanese brands are preferred as a part of their lifestyle, showcasing national pride. 5. Cleanliness 🚗 : The immaculate cleanliness of public spaces, with the lack of public dustbins, is truly impressive. Japan has left a lasting impression on me, and I am inspired by the country's dedication to minimalism, excellence, innovation & community. Japan IT week: our experience😎 Technologically thrilling, with a wealth of ideas in one location. There was a vast array of companies, delightful acquaintances, and innovations! We’re thrilled with all the connections, and it was an experience we’ll certainly repeat! We want to inform you that new rules for exhibitions in Japan prohibit the sale of services by visitors. At the moment, visitors are unable to offer their services for sale at the exhibition. However, exhibitors who have set up their stands can engage with potential customers and decide which individuals or companies they want to do business with. They have the ability to scan the badges of those who catch their attention and express interest in their products or services. This innovative approach is one that other countries should take note of. With the overload of advertising materials and information that typically occurs at conferences, finding ways to streamline the process is important. By the year 2050, high-speed transportation technologies such as the Central Shinkansen and flying cars will be popular both within Japan. The journey between Tokyo and Osaka will only take about one hour, creating a massive metropolitan area with a population of approximately 60 million people, including the Greater Tokyo Area, Chukyo Area, and Kinki Area. With the shortened distance between 100 million people, new industries and cultures are expected to thrive, and the dual residency pattern between cities and rural areas will become increasingly common.

🕰️ Time is money, they say. But in Singapore, time is more than just money. It's a strategic advantage. 🌏 Let's take a trip back in time. Singapore, then part of the Straits Settlements, originally adopted Malayan Time in 1941 (GMT 07:30). It switched to Tokyo Standard Time (GMT 9) during the Japanese occupation and then reverted to its pre-war time zone after WWII. Fast forward to 1981. Malaysia decided to standardize the time across all territories (UTC 08:00). Singapore followed suit, aligning its business and travel schedules. This move created "Singapore Standard Time" (SST), which is 8 hours ahead of UTC. Now, why does this matter? 🤔 SST is synchronized with other key Asian cities - Beijing, Hong Kong, Manila, Shanghai, Taipei, and Perth. It means that Singapore is awake when the rest of Asia is awake. Business meetings, negotiations, and decisions happen in real-time. No need to sacrifice sleep or wait till the next day for a response. And for our counterparts in the West? Well, the late afternoon in Singapore overlaps with the morning in Europe and the start of the day in the US. So, while the world sleeps, Singapore works. And when the world wakes up, Singapore is ready with solutions. 🌅 In the world of business, this is a game-changer. Time, after all, waits for no one.
