#ThankANurse today and check out the link below to learn more about how the American Nurses Foundation and our partners are giving back for National Nurses Week (& every week)!
When I first joined Orr Group, my first client was the American Nurses Foundation. All these months later, we're still working together! I have been so inspired by the nurses I've met and the innovative solutions that are being developed to support the largest percentage of the workforce in the healthcare field. Next week is National Nurses Week - and we've teamed up with some amazing corporate partners that will be giving back to nurses. Check out the link below for details - or, if you've ever been impacted by a nurse (and let's be real, who hasn't been?), I hope you'll consider making a gift to help nurses have the resources and support they need to care for us but also to care for themselves. #ThankANurse

Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)|| Founder-HealthFocus Quality Network|| I help organizations enhance patient care by strengthening their QMS|| Patient care&safety AMBASSADOR
Its that time again! 6-12 May I stayed out of socials yesterday to celebrate the tremendous achievements and accomplishments associated with my life as a Registered Nurse 🎊🎊🎊🎊 Does your profession celebrate you? If it does How long does it celebrate you? I know and have seen many celebrate a day of………. Now come to the Lords’ favorites——-NURSES 😛 Its a whole week and If you are privileged enough to work with some employers it might end with a nurses day out for the climax. This years theme is: Nurses make a difference—every day, anytime, anywhere. This theme resonate so well with the act of compassion and continuous Improvement. The implementation of Quality and patient safety measures will not have any impact if Nurses gets hands off!!! Most of the improvements are as a result of positive energy from Nurses! 🎊 Lets allow Nurses to toast the glasses and celebrate themselves this week 🎊 If you have a nurse nearby give them a hug and remind them that they matter 🎊 If you are a nurse buy coffees and celebrate yourself. 🎊 If you are the employer consider doing something special for them Stop and celebrate, MAKE THE DIFFERENCE AS A NURSE!! Happy international nurses week 6-12 May 2024!! Now comment below and wish all of us a happy Week. Wont you? #internationalnursesweek #Nursesonlinkedin #Nursesweek #continousimprovement #Nursesmakeadifference

It's National Nurses Week. I would be remiss if I didn't extend my appreciation and gratitude for what these incredible professionals accomplish day in and day out. Spent my career seeing it first hand, although never have they been under the intense risk and pressure as we see in healthcare today. Conversely, there are more tools and solutions available than ever to streamline care and promote operational efficiencies in our healthcare facilities. From mechanical CPR to free hands during resuscitation, to advanced communications systems that bring care teams together, through developments in AI/machine learning to support clinical review and administration. The list goes on. We need more adoption of these tools to help reduce the burden on nursing and free them for what they do best — delivering care and improving the lives of patients and their families. And preparing for the next generation of nursing professionals. Changing lives. Shaping tomorrow. Thank you. https://lnkd.in/gbY4fC6q #nationalnursesweek #nursing #gratitude

Magnet & Pathway to Excellence Program Appraiser @ American Nurses Credentialing Center, Accomplished Service Line Nurse Leader, & Internationally Certified Practice Environment Specialist | CCRN, CGNC, HACP-CMS-IC
One thing is for sure. If an organization doesn’t offer transition to practice programs new and experienced registered nurses, the organization needs one FAST! ANCC offers a great framework to enculturate and build upon. When effectively implemented and maintained, these programs drive positive improvements on one-year turnover rates. Professional nursing shouldn’t settle for anything less than the national standard. #PaintTheWorldGreen #PaintTheWorldBlue

Here are the key details: National Nurses Month - Celebrated annually during the month of May - Initiated by the American Nurses Association (ANA) to promote the nursing profession - Allows for greater opportunities to promote understanding and appreciation of nurses' roles Weekly Focus Areas The month is divided into four weekly focus areas: 1. Self-Care (May 1-7): Cultivating mental health and well-being 2. Recognition (May 8-14): Honoring nurses who lead, excel, and innovate 3. Professional Development (May 15-21): Accessing resources for career growth 4. Happy Nurse's Week 2024! I am so proud to be a 4th generation nurse that stands on the shoulders of countless legends. My promise to the nurses that have paved the path for my success so far has 2 parts: 1. I promise to be intentional and grateful. I commit to surround myself with people that share my passion & celebrate each other's contributions - Iron Sharpens Iron. I am ecstatic to work with a courageous and innovative team of Nurses that are mission driven to deliver a workforce reality enabling clinicians with flexibility and the compensation they desire while creating financial sustainability and reliability for healthcare organizations. 2. I promise to say the hard things that need to be said. For instance, as we dive headlong into a new age of disruption & innovation at warp speed: if you're a healthcare leader whose organization is partnering with "technology firms" that don't have a Nurse voice at their executive table, ask them how they develop strategic solutions that are meaningful to real clinical users in a rapidly evolving environment. Then, ask yourself how many hours you've spent teaching them why/how systems need to operate in order to deliver seamless user interfaces & experience. If you don't like the answers, come sit by me and lets talk.
Happy National Nurses' Week! Today, as we kick off this meaningful celebration, we pay tribute to the heartbeat of our healthcare community. Nurses are the pillars of compassion and care, tirelessly serving others with unwavering dedication. Join us in honoring four remarkable nurses: Nancy Bourg, Amanda Wheeler, Tamara Miller and Dave Stillmunkes. Their teammates recognize them for their unwavering commitment and compassion. #NationalNursesWeek #NursesWeek #ThankANurse

Reflection and Remembrance: Create opportunities for reflection and remembrance to honor nurses who have passed away or faced challenges in the line of duty. Holding memorial services or moments of silence allows for collective mourning and appreciation of nurses' sacrifices. International Nurses Week is a time to celebrate the invaluable contributions of nurses and express gratitude for their unwavering dedication to patient care. By organizing a diverse range of activities and events, hospitals and communities can show their appreciation for nurses' hard work, compassion, and commitment to excellence. From wellness workshops to volunteer projects to cultural celebrations, there are countless ways to honor and celebrate the remarkable individuals who serve as the backbone of healthcare. Together, let us recognize and uplift nurses, celebrating their resilience, compassion, and profound impact on the lives of others. If this message has caught your eye, it’s because you, like many of us, hold our nurses in high regard. They are the unsung heroes of healthcare, and now is the perfect opportunity to express our collective appreciation. Take a moment to honor a nurse who has touched your life. It only takes two minutes to share your story of a nurse’s impact, but the recognition will last much longer. By participating, you’re not only acknowledging an individual nurse’s excellence but also contributing to a grander gesture of gratitude during International Nurses Week. We promise to craft a special tribute for each nurse mentioned, celebrating their commitment and compassion in a showcase of Stellar Nurses.
