The threat of survey bloat. Asking less questions and getting more responses > Asking more questions and getting less responses. When crafting quantitative surveys it can be tempting to try and collect as much information as possible to appease all project stakeholders. However the longer the survey, the more likely the data will be misleading, reflecting a biased sample of only your highly committed users. It’s better to maximize the response rate by asking only the most essential questions. Prepping to livestream the Women in Data Science conference and noticed this on their website. We've all seen those "cookies preferences" pop-ups but this is next level.
