🌟 One month at Wright's Renovations 🌟 It's been just over a month since I joined the amazing team at Wright's Renovations, and I can honestly say I'm THRIVING! Every day is an opportunity to make a difference, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found this role when I did. Here are some highlights and some accomplishments from my first month: ✅ Developed and introduced the company’s FIRST EVER complete benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life, short and long-term disability, workers comp/liability/tool coverage, and a retirement plan—all while saving money! ✅ Ordered stylish new merch for the entire team. ✅ Introduced AI tools like Asana and ChatGPT to streamline operations, which the boss absolutely LOVES! ✅ Implemented Birdeye for enhanced SEO and reputation management, helping us collect and manage reviews, convert leads, create email campaigns, and more. ✅ Switched to Gusto for payroll, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs. ✅ Overhauled our filing system for better organization. ✅ Took on the challenge of reconciling company financials for the past 2 years. We're making great progress! ✅ Created the company’s FIRST EVER paid time off policy. ✅ Updated client contracts to ensure optimal legal terms and protection. ✅ Revamped the company website for a fresh, new look. ✅ Launched the company’s FIRST EVER financing options for customers, broadening our client demographic and making our services more accessible. There's so much more in the pipeline, and I'm loving every minute of it! I'm here to make life at Wright's Renovations smoother and improve our operational standards. Making life-changing decisions can be SO stressful, sometimes you might hem & haw, delaying, afraid to make the wrong decision, and then you get stuck.  So how does one really weigh their options for making a good decision? Sometimes it’s a gut feeling.  This can be learned through years of experience. You can rely on your inner spirit, listening to God’s wisdom. Or if you’ve had too many street tacos and don't trust your gut or feel you can't hear His wisdom, it’s good to rely on a proven system for making big decisions.  My wife and I were moving back to the Denver metro after a few years in NC and we really didn’t want to move again for a while. But we were torn about the neighborhoods (and even cities) we would end up in.  So we both filled out priority grids to isolate our top wants and needs. We each listed out as many as we thought were important  and weighed them against each other, finally coming down to, “This is my #1 want/need in a house”. It was a non-negotiable. If the house didn’t hit the need, even if the rest of the house was great, we couldn’t move forward on it. With this method, we were able to get a house: - 8 minutes or less from our kids’ school - 20 minutes or less from church - 5 minutes from the C-470/6th corridors - which backs up to open space - has a 2 car garage - has a yard for our kids - with a big kitchen And a host of other things that we listed which were important to us! The priority grid was the tool we used and it gave us a List. Having and reviewing The List allowed us to consider each other’s needs, be clear and focused, and refuse to settle, keeping our eye on our prize.  You could use the same priority grid to make decisions about a job environment, choosing between two jobs, or choosing a new role.
