For adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), reaching survival milestones is a challenge, especially for those with complex AML genetic alterations, such as relapsed/refractory NPM1-m or KMT2A-r AML. According to WPSD Local News March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month, and it's now the leading cause of cancer deaths for men under 50 and the second leading cause for women. The average age to be diagnosed is 67. However, more people younger than that, some even in their 20s, are being diagnosed with colon cancer. Doctors expect rates to double in young people by 2030. Roughly one in every 250 males will develop testicular cancer in his lifetime. Although testicular cancer is rare, it is the most common form of cancer in males between the ages of 15 and 35. There is no known prevention for testicular cancer. Some of the known risk factors, like undescended testicles, being a white male, or having a family history, cannot be changed.
