Crystallisable PET (cPET) labels are made of the same polymer as the bottle, meaning the bottle and the label are fully recyclable together and there is no need for separation which you can imagine enables easier recycling. It also provides more rPET for the market! There’s tremendous value to be found in this solution so we got together with market leaders and our competitors throughout the supply chain to prove that cPET is the future of shrink sleeve labels. Find out more about the cPET Consortium led by kp in our sustainability report: https://ow.ly/ax9r30sAikH #InvestinginBetter #ClosetheLoop #Recyclability

Finland-based Ahlstrom has won the American Forest & Paper Association's Innovation in Sustainability Award for their cellulose fiber-based pet food packaging named PawPrint. PawPrint is 100% recyclable and compostable, as it is made from “wood-based natural cellulose fibers.” Additionally, the packaging utilizes a proprietary technology that provides grease-resistant properties, making it 100% PFAS free. Travis Dahlke, Packaging Americas VP at Ahlstrom, states, “Pet food is one of the most demanding applications for packaging in terms of grease resistance, and traditionally it has been difficult to provide plastic free and PFAS free solutions in this category.” Read more on the innovation at https://bit.ly/49G584j #packaginginnovation #sustainablepackaging #packaging #packagingdesign #paperpackaging #biodegradablepackaging #circulareconomy #petfood

Only by using the 400 mL 1:1 cartridge system one can save up to 38 % of CO2 emissions (https://lnkd.in/e4tmkPd2) Did you know that we consumers could make a significant contribution to increasing this figure to up to 50%? Due to the high processing costs of improperly separated plastic waste, the value is quite low. Let's think about whether we throw the next yoghurt pot with or without an aluminum lid into the yellow garbage can. (source https://lnkd.in/eqmxQzmJ)
