🚢 🛠 Floating LNG sector finally counts down for take-off by Lucy Hine Floating LNG production has been poised for lift-off for over a decade but this year and next are expected to be pivotal in bringing the sector to life and into the mainstream. By 2030, FLNG players calculate that more than 60 million tonnes per annum of LNG could be produced from about 18 FLNG units. #LNG #FLNG Javid Talib

Hamina LNG Oy is celebrating a triumphant start to the year with a flurry of activity and newfound interest in their services, resulting in the acquisition of new customers. This week marked a historic milestone for the company as they successfully concluded the first-ever ship LNG bunkering at the Hamina LNG terminal. This achievement was made possible through a collaborative effort with Rohe Solutions Oy and Glander International Bunkering. The burgeoning interest in Hamina LNG comes at a time when the number of ships utilizing LNG/LBG (liquefied natural gas/liquefied biogas) is on the rise. Utilizing Hamina LNG’s refueling arm at their berth offers significant advantages, ensuring ships receive a full tank of colder LNG directly from storage. In response to the escalating demand, Hamina LNG has announced the availability of spot capacity during the months of April to June. While the current storage booking level remains high, there is still space available from April onwards. Interested parties are urged to act swiftly as availability may change rapidly. #bunkering #energy #shipping #marine #maritime #petroleum #shipowners #decarbonization #technology #digitalization #energytransition #sustainable #oilandgas #cleanenergy #carboncapture #ports #greenenergy #greenshipping #netcarbonzero #society #sustainability #bunkermarket #europe #usa #uk #canada #uae #netherlands #denmark #norway #sweden #singapore #dubai #finland #haminalng #haminalngterminal #haminaterminal #rohesolutions #glander #glanderinternationalbunkering #glanderbunkering #lngbunkering #lngindustry #lngshipping https://lnkd.in/dbwgSyBW

🇮🇳 🛠 Gravity-based structures are the future for offshore LNG regasification units’: Crown LNG CEO Norway’s Crown LNG, which plans to build a 7.2-mtpa (million tonnes per annum) offshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification terminal in Andhra Pradesh’s Kakinada, believes that gravity-based structures (GBS) are the answer to conventional offshore LNG terminals—floating storage regasification units (FSRUs)—in harsh weather conditions. Kakinada terminal will be India’s first GBS LNG terminal, offering round-the-year operations—something FSRUs cannot offer in rough waters. #LNG #FSRU #GBS #CrownLNG

Avenir LNG, a global leader and prominent supplier of small-scale LNG, achieved a significant milestone on May 5th with the commencement of its inaugural LNG ship-to-ship bunkering operation in Germany. The successful transfer of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the bunker vessel ‘Avenir Aspiration’ to the TT-Line's RoPax ferry ‘Nils Holgersson’, took place at the Port of Lübeck. This event marked a pivotal moment as the first STS LNG bunkering operation within a German port, following Avenir’s earlier LNG and bio-LNG bunker operation conducted via trucks in 2022. For the seamless execution of this operation, Avenir collaborated with GasCom-Equipment GmbH, specialists in German LNG and bio-LNG distribution. Originated in 2018 and backed by blue-chip sponsors, Avenir is a leading midstream LNG & BioLNG company focussed on serving small scale demand for the maritime sector, industrial consumers, and power generation. own and operate a fleet of 5 modern LNG Bunker and Supply Vessels with 2 vessels under construction and a small-scale LNG terminal in Sardinia, Italy. #bunkering #bunkermarket #energy #shipping #maritime #shipowners #decarbonization #digitalization #energytransition #oilandgas #ports #marinefuels #netzero #europe #germany #italy #lubeck #portoflubeck #avenir #avenirlng #ttline #lng #lngbunkering #lngbunkervessel #gascom https://lnkd.in/esiVigxd
