💚 We’re pleased to again partner with Trash Free Trails on their 2024 Earth Day Spring Clean campaign. 🙌 Over 1000 volunteers across the UK will celebrate Earth Day by removing over a tonne of rubbish from trails and parkland, this coming weekend April 19th - 21st. 💪 The Trash Free Trails’ Spring Clean campaign has seen the removal of over 60,000 individual items of Single-Use Pollution from public green spaces and trails. In 2023 alone Earth Day Spring Clean events across the UK removed over 50% of that amount.  Many of these events made use of komoot’s route planning and sharing features to connect with and inspire other outdoor enthusiasts to get involved. 🤗 Trash Free Trails have created a free ‘Do It Ourselves’ Toolkit to help individuals and groups organise Earth Day Spring Cleans. Alongside events hosted by their Community Hubs across the UK, they’ll also be running two flagship events in Bristol, and on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) over Earth Day Weekend. Three times a year, the komoot team hits the road to swap computer screens for face-to-face experiences, fostering teamwork, collaboration, and unforgettable memories. In January 2024, we found ourselves in the snowy embrace of San Vigilio, Italy. Work, plans, knowledge sharing and fun—sure. As 2023 draws to a close, all we have is immense gratitude for our community. We loved going wild with you this year! 💚 🚵♀️ We went wild with three editions of the komoot Women's Rally, seeing 150 women take on what, for many, was their first multi-day ride. 🌱 We went wild with nature, partnering with Trash Free Trails, the National Trust, and The Female Explorer community amongst others, for hikes and workshops. ✨ We went wild launching new features, like the Discover map and filters for personalized Tours. And we'd like to thank our incredible team for all the hard work they put in to inspire more people to embark on adventures. 🏕️ We went wild with events, attending dozens of races and festivals to meet cyclists, hikers, and runners in person, to share stories and laughter. 🧠 We went wild with learning, heading out with a national park ranger during our latest Hike & Learn event, discussing the importance of nature conservation when planning a tour on komoot and adventuring outside. 💻 We brought the wild home, launching the Adventure Hub (https://lnkd.in/em7PvCB8), where you can read stories from the community, learn tips and tricks for using komoot, and get inspired for adventures big and small. 💪 We went wild expanding our team, all of who contribute to helping you explore this beautiful world with komoot.
