I loved seeing so many new faces around campus last week as we welcomed our new class of Kohl's summer interns. We have nearly 600 interns representing 46 states and more than 250 universities nationwide across our corporate headquarters, stores, and e-fulfillment and distribution centers. Over the summer, these students will get unique business exposure as they participate in development sessions, think tanks, volunteer projects, and hear from c-suite executives. In some departments, interns are rotated throughout their summer to expose them to several unique job duties and roles, and in the last few weeks of their internship, interns showcase what they’ve learned by leading store walks, presenting final projects, or providing oversight to a department within a distribution or e-fulfillment center. I’ve had the chance to meet a number of our interns already – addressing the group and meeting several individually, and I am looking forward to connecting with more across the company throughout the summer.
