Do you have one job doing all the stuff and another job informing all the people who need to know what you did? And let me guess…the pay sucks for both? Yup, you’re a KinKeeper! Let’s talk about getting people the information to self-serve so you spend less time as central intelligence.  If you happen to catch my note from last week, maybe you took a minute to jot down your circle of family or framily (friends that are like family) - no worries if you didn’t…you’re really busy.  Once you have it, pick one person to start and set up sharing in KinKeeper by answering a few questions: 👨👩👧👧 Who needs the information? Click on the share icon in the profile of your loved one 📵 What do they need to access? For all the stuff, share the full profile; for only some stuff, share a custom access link 👉 What do you want them to be able to do with the information they have access to? Make them an editor to add/edit/delete, a viewer for view only access, or a contributor (that’s someone who can add stuff but only edit or delete what they added…so they don’t screw up your stuff 🙂) That’s it, you’re done! My parents are reluctant to accept home care. Now what? Convincing them can be a challenge, but the key is to show them that it's actually all about maintaining independence! Having a little assistance helps them stay in control of decisions that affect their lifestyle. And making these decisions before a crisis ensures that they have more of a say in the outcome. Here are a few ideas to try: 1️⃣ Encourage them to try home care in a small or temporary way. Once they experience the benefits, it often becomes a permanent solution. 2️⃣ Use a different term for "caregiver," such as personal assistant. 3️⃣ Ask your parents to meet with our owner.
