A recent study found individuals living with chronic pain are more likely to experience anxiety and depression, compared with people without chronic pain. See link to read more in comments. Getting mental health support shouldn’t be an added stress. Telehealth can open a pathway to holistic care. “Mental health care is a vital part of a long-term treatment plan for individuals with chronic pain, but seeking support can be challenging while managing pain or illness," said Anne Marie Nixon PhD, LPC, NCC, LCMHC, Licensed Professional Counselor with Array Behavioral Care. "Telehealth provides a convenient solution – connecting patients to therapists from home, where they can learn coping strategies and process difficult emotions. "Online clinicians with Array collaborate with patients' medical teams and provide essential support in a comfortable environment, ensuring that individuals receive the encouragement they need as part of a comprehensive treatment plan," added Nixon.
