For a given inner diameter, Insulon vacuum jacketed hoses typically have a smaller outer diameter than other vacuum jacketed hoses. Insulon hoses are based on proprietary vacuum insulation and multi-layer insulation technology, which has a range of benefits — including a more compact design. 💪 Reducing the thickness of vacuum insulated hoses makes them lighter and more flexible. 📐 In addition to improving ergonomics and handling, Insulon’s compact packaging utilizes space more effectively in space-constrained applications. 📦 Logistically, a more compact design helps reduce both shipping costs and inventory storage needs. There are two main types of low-emissivity (low-e) glass: 1) Hard-Coat Low-E Glass: Also known as pyrolytic or passive low-e glass, this type has a coating applied during the manufacturing process. The coating is fused to the glass, making it durable and less susceptible to damage during handling and installation. 2) Soft-Coat Low-E Glass: Also called sputter-coat or online low-e glass, this type has a delicate, multiple-layer coating applied in a vacuum chamber after the glass is manufactured. Soft-coat low-e glass generally provides higher performance in terms of reducing heat transfer, but it requires a protective layer, such as a special film, as it is more susceptible to damage. Both types of low-e glass are effective in improving energy efficiency by controlling the transmission of heat through windows. The choice between them often depends on factors like climate, specific performance requirements, and cost considerations.

Old but gold! When it comes to introducing glass as a substrate material for #advancedpackaging, this paper answers many questions that we get quite frequently, like: - How does the mechanical strength and durability of glass substrates compare to silicon and other materials, particularly under thermal cycling and mechanical stress? - Are there any special considerations or innovations needed for thermal management when using glass substrates? - How do the electrical properties of glass, such as dielectric constant and loss tangent, compare to traditional substrates in high-frequency applications? What are your questions regarding glass as substrate for advanced packaging? #LIDE #semiconductor #innovation #semiconductors #chiplets https://lnkd.in/e9Rtgc-P

Did you know it took almost a century for the ball valve to go from patent to reality? The first patent was issued in 1871, but it wasn't until around 1967 that ball valves became commercially available. Back then, they were similar to plug valves but with a hollow sphere design. Fast forward to the 1950s, engineers revolutionized the design, introducing the modern ball valve with a spherical ball that could block or align with fluid flow. Talk about a century of innovation! 💡🔧 #BallValve #DidYouKnow #Innovation #FretureTechno
