Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at The HEINEKEN Company | Leading Future-Focused Sustainable Strategies and Organizational Transformation | Advocating and Implementing Forward-Thinking Responsible Corporate Practices
When it comes to plastic waste, there's good news and bad news. "Although efforts show progress on plastic pollution is possible, the world is 'not on course' to eliminating plastic waste and pollution," reports Flora Southey. The good news is that we have seen progress from many major companies in reducing plastic waste; this is a solvable issue. The not-so-good news is that we have much more work to do to eliminate plastic waste. While I think it's important to be realistic, it's just as important to remain hopeful about our ability to make lasting, sustainable change. Personally, I think we all need need to work together more closely, such as enacting regulatory measures that support and encourage business actions. #Sustainability #PlasticWaste #WasteReduction
