Secretary General at Affordable Medicines Europe

NEW JOB! I am very happy that today it was revealed that I will be joining GIRP - European Healthcare Distribution Association as Director General after the summer. And humbled by the trust GIRP's members, Board and President, Bernd Grabner, have shown me. I cannot wait to represent the full-service #healthcare #distributors in Europe. Together with the great #team at GIRP, I will represent a sector with more than 140,000 #employees, delivering over 62 million packs of #medicine every day(!) - that is more than 15 billion packs/year - to over 200,000 #pharmacies and healthcare professionals. And a turnover of more than €150 billion (that's more than the GDP of 10 EU Member States). This also means that a very good thing must come to an end. Leaving Affordable Medicines Europe has been a very difficult decision. I have loved every minute of the past six years of my working life. Together with my current team Olga, Claudie, Matteo and Aurora, and former colleagues Escolástico, Valérie, Daniel, we have achieved some amazing milestones for the parallel distribution sector. A special thanks as well to Richard and Heinz, who very(!) patiently trained me in the ins and outs of the sector. And to my President over the last years, Jörg Geller. Until my notice period ends, I will continue to serve as Secretary General of Affordable Medicines Europe.

📢 Exciting Leadership Announcement! 📢 We are thrilled to share that Mr. Kasper Ernest has been appointed as the new Director General of GIRP, the European Healthcare Distribution Association.
