CAB Payments Holdings PLC (LSE:CABP) Bhairav Trivedi speaks to Thomas Warner from Proactive after the emerging markets-focused business-to-business cross-border payments and #foreignexchange company published its interim results for the six months to 30 June 2023. Trivedi starts by giving an overview of the firm's niche in the market, describing it as "emerging markets upside with developed market regulatory focus", noting that money flows through the business tend to be from OECD countries into Africa, Asia and parts of Latin America. He reports strong results for the first half of the year, with 94% year-on-year revenue growth and a 56% EBITDA margin, surpassing their initial projections. He says the company "has done a great job on the numbers" and that growth spans all customer groups, with international development organisations experiencing over 90% growth. Major market banks and non-bank financial institutions, particularly fintechs, have also seen substantial growth. Trivedi emphasises revenue growth and EBITDA margins as the vital indicators for #investors, highlighting the company's strong cash generation. I am facing a recurring nightmare with bKash to bank transactions, and it's time to speak up! My latest transaction of BDT 30,000 to my bank account is stuck in limbo, AGAIN! Last month, the same issue left me powerless and without access to my own money for 5-6 agonizing days. Even though the money shows on my current balance, it's unavailable to use or reverse the transaction. I contacted customer care several times [7-8] both times. They were tape recorders telling me the transaction would happen or be reversed within 2 days [took 5-6 days]. That's common sense! I don't need customer support telling me that. Everybody knows it's either going that way or coming back! Rather, I need to know where my money is stuck, why, and how to clear the tangle. And why must customers be hostages to their own funds? Why does bKash leave us helpless, dangling our money out of reach without a clear way to control or reverse the transactions? This isn't just an inconvenience; it's a breach of trust and a failure of service. How many more customers must endure this stress?  How many calls and posts do you need for a systemic change? We need more than just apologies and assurances. We demand action, transparency, and control over our transactions. It's high time bKash revamps its processes to prioritize customer satisfaction and trust.
