Happy Friday LinkedIn!❄ We’re excited for our first employee spotlight of 2024! Today we have been speaking to Mihai Manau – recently promoted Shift Manager at our Manchester site. 1. What is your role at Kammac? As of November, last year I was promoted to Shift Manager at Kammac Manchester, after previously being the Team Manager there for 10 months. 2. What does your day-to-day look like? I work the evening shift and no two days are the same in terms of priorities. Lots of variables can change my plans during the shift. Sometimes it depends on the inbound/outbound schedules, or it can depend on the traffic or even the weather. I need to be proactive, to find the best solution and take action as quickly as possible, to ensure everything will be ready on time with no accidents and KPI’s and SLA’s achieved. Long story short, my focus is to maintain a high quality of service every day. 3. What first attracted you to Kammac? Well… If I’m allowed to joke a bit, I would say that the very first thing that attract me to Kammac was the love of my life, as she was already working here as a Stock Controller. Getting back to the answer though, I did a bit of research about Kammac before joining the team and I found out that the company has more than 40 years of experience in the logistics industry and is one of the fastest growing private companies in the UK. This pushed me to make the decision to join the team. 4. In your opinion what makes a great team? I think that communication is key in almost everything, but apart from communication you need to have good collaboration between the team members and to have patience, to allow enough time for building strong and trusting relationships with each other. Respect, hard work, and good leadership are some other things that can lead to a great team. 5. How has your Kammac experience been so far? My journey with Kammac has challenged me but the accomplishment you feel in the end is worth it. Even though I joined the business having 6 years of experience in warehousing, I came from a different environment and it took me a while to feel confident with my work. Everyone from Kammac has treated me well from the beginning, and I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all my colleagues for their support.
