I LOVE getting to work with teams like Tower Marketing. Some organizations talk about caring for their people, and then there are organizations that do. Tower truly is a strengths-based organization that invests in the people they bring on. Like Tower Marketing, if you are looking to finish out the year intentionally with your team, reach out! I have a few openings left this fall. 🙌 #buildinghealthyteams #companyculture #strengthsbasedleadership
Last week, Team Tower met with our Strengths Coaches, Jolene Pickens and Brianna Campbell! We had a session that worked through how to navigate change. Each of us used our top strengths and highlighted the good and the bad moments of change.

Think for a moment on the challenges your team faces. Are the challenges primarily technical in nature? Or are they more about how to work together in a collaborative, effective way as you try to meet those technical challenges? My guess is that it's more the latter than the former. Everyone on your team shows up in their own unique way--you included--and despite all of our best intentions, we can end up confusing or irritating one another by the way we think about, or process any particular challenge. And as the saying goes, "We judge ourselves by our intentions, and others by their actions." Through a unique and proven assessment tool called the "Core Values Index" (CVI), you and your team will learn why that happens, and how to understand and appreciate every team member's actual intentions. It is a game-changer when that happens, and it dramatically increases the likelihood of forward progress. Something to think about: Are your people showing the behaviors that are beneficial for your organization long term and how are they being rewarded for it? Huge fan of Simon Sinek. He hit the mark once again. =) #growthstrategy #behaviorchange #profitability #businessstrategy #businessdevelopment #rewardandrecognition #leadershipdevelopment #trustedadvisor
Simon Sinek has a knack for explaining complex challenges in a really simple way. His summary of how NOT to reward employees is excellent. Watch the full video here: https://lnkd.in/dzQGHEJ9

I recently sat down with the remarkable Diana Cutaia, CEO of Coaching Peace Consulting, LLC to uncover the secrets of effective team communication. I love when I can break away from the computer to have a real person-to-person conversation with someone I respect and can learn a lot from. And this conversation was no exception! Diana leads Coaching Peace Consulting in its mission to empower organizations, schools, and teams to foster cultures of empathy, balance, and equality. She’s a highly respected speaker and facilitator known for her transformational work, and it was fascinating to pick her brain about what makes the best teams tick. Diana is in the trenches day after day with teams helping them foster cultures of open communication, collaboration, and harmony. Her perspective on building strong and effective teams is hard-won and genuinely inspiring. Here’s what I came away with: ✨ Understanding Organizational Culture Defining and understanding the culture of an organization is fundamental. Without this clarity, building effective teams can be challenging. ✨ Addressing Unconscious Bias Unconscious bias can influence hiring and team dynamics. It's crucial to acknowledge these biases, establish mitigation systems, and create a culture where biases can be openly discussed. ✨ Vulnerability, Awareness, and Curiosity Embracing vulnerability fosters authenticity, awareness helps identify biases, and curiosity encourages open dialogue and learning, creating a healthy work environment. Engaging in this dialogue reaffirmed the power of genuine human connection and reinforced the importance of continuous learning in fostering meaningful collaborations. It's a reminder that beneath every successful team lies a foundation of empathy, understanding, and open-mindedness. I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn from Diana's expertise. Thank you, Diana! #TeamCollaboration #EmpathyInAction #InclusiveWorkplace #HireThoughts
