🌍 Discover the World’s Oldest Map! We’re excited to share this fascinating news about the world’s oldest map, dating back nearly 3,000 years! As a geography and GIS company, it’s thrilling to see how ancient cartography continues to inform and inspire our modern understanding of the world. This discovery reminds us of the enduring power of maps to shape our perceptions and connect us to history. This ancient Babylonian tablet, recently decoded by researchers, provides an extraordinary glimpse into how early civilizations understood and depicted the world. The map, known as the Imago Mundi, showcases Mesopotamia—modern-day Iraq—as the center of the known world. The circular map not only illustrates the geography of that time but also reflects the Babylonian belief system, including mythical creatures like Anzu, the lion-headed bird. As many within our #CollectiveConsciousness can now attest, there does seem to be a great divide happening within our very own species. Where one half of the population seems to be increasingly #devolving into a lower expression of itself, from either fear or manipulation by a mass media that has somehow led them to act in ways that betray their very own nature's, while still others seem to be #evolving at an accelerated rate! New article in IJBC! In this paper, we investigate population agglomeration in a long narrow economy, in which an odd number of places are evenly distributed over a line segment. The bifurcation analysis of this economy elucidates the mechanism of the emergence of twin cities around the central city. The validity and usefulness of this analysis are confirmed using several well-known economic geography models that display various kinds of bifurcation behaviors. By this analysis, we investigate the historical change in the population distribution in a chain of cities on Japan’s Main Island.
