Guess what today is...Promotional Products Work Day! PPAI, a non-profit trade association, conducts consumer studies to provide an inside look at how people engage with promotional products, what they think about them, and why they work as an advertising medium. In PPAI’s 2021 Consumer Study Report, 94% of participants said they like receiving promotional products. Promotional products also make experiences more enjoyable, according to 83% of participants. Additionally, three out of four participants said they would likely switch brands if they received a promotional product from a brand they hadn’t done business with previously. Last week one of JGnil's clients, @JazzGardner, took the first steps in launching his charitable vision, The Jazz Section, providing underprivileged children with the opportunity to see big time basketball in the January 8th game @wolfpack vs @airforce..... with great results made up of big smiles and lifetime memories for the kids in attendance, shirts and of course @grimaldispizza! Jazz also found the additional Q&A that comes with the first steps and launch, beyond the typical X's and O's of on court hoops. This is why spending time with JGnil clients BEFORE event planning to prepare for the delivery of message on a different stage is part of our process. Another point of interest, in addition to the interview preparation, is acknowledging that many high profile entertainers are introverts and need coaching in public speaking or question/answer interviews. Additionally, many athletes and entertainers have a social media team managing their incoming AND outgoing content. While we do not manage every aspect of our clients accounts, we do review the language for business oriented posts and the narrative we want to tell and work on making sure that message is delivered as well as discussing the domino effect of our content decisions. It is not just what is said, but even more important what is written! This is KEY in our efforts to secure brand endorsement deals as corporations want to put their product/capital behind well spoken sponsor/influencers with consistent messaging when looking for strategic partners. NOT just an influencer trying to make money This off court/field/stage prep is invaluable in all stages of the client/brand relationship...and even when you prepare, crutch words (uh, like, you know) or stress related actions (head scratch, nose itch) still manage to happen!!
