*English version below* Vergangenen Montag haben wir an der Halbzeitkonferenz, der vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung geförderten #FactoryWisskomm, teilgenommen. Auf dieser Konferenz führender Fachleute für #PublicEngagement, #Partizipation und #Wissenschaftskommunikation in Deutschland durften wir die neuste Auflage des Public Engagement-Kodex präsentieren. Zu sehen ist Susanne Hecker (re.), Leiterin des Forschungsbereichs Gesellschaft und Natur am Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, die den überarbeiteten Kodex an Cordula Kleidt (li.) vom BMBF und der #FactoryWisskomm übergibt. Der Kodex ist ein Leitfaden für Public Engagement, der sich an Expert*innen, Forschende und Interessierte richtet. Er trägt dazu bei, Public Engagement in Deutschland zu etablieren und zu professionalisieren, damit die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Öffentlichkeit und Forschenden zu einem festen Bestandteil des Forschungsprozesses wird. Da er gemeinsam mit Public Engagement Praktizierenden erstellt wurde, trägt er auch wesentlich zur Fortentwicklung unserer Community in Deutschland bei. Die neueste Version legt einen Schwerpunkt auf die Werte, die unserer Arbeit zugrunde liegen, wie #Gerechtigkeit, #Diversität und #Inklusion. Public Engagement-Aktivitäten sollen Menschen in unserer Gesellschaft aktiv und kontinuierlich in die Forschung einbeziehen, unabhängig von ihrer Identität oder ihrem Hintergrund. It was our pleasure to present at the conference of leading professionals in Public Engagement, #Participation and #ScienceCommunication in Germany the revised edition of the ‘Principles of Public Engagement’. Pictured is Susanne Hecker (ri.), head of the Society and Nature Programme at Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, handing over the revised 'Principles' to Cordula Kleidt (le.) from BMBF and #FactoryWisskomm. The 'Principles' is a guideline for Public Engagement aimed at experts, researchers and interested parties. It helps to establish and professionalise Public Engagement in Germany so that cooperation between the public and researchers becomes an integral part of the research process. Having been co-created with Public Engagement practitioners, it also contributes significantly to the development of our community in Germany. In the newly revised version, there is a renewed focus on the values underlying our work such as #equity, #diversity and #inclusion. 🎙 Am 10. November 2023 fand das dritte und somit letzte Vorevent für die Fachtagung #Katastrophenvorsorge im April 2024 statt. Das DKKV e.V. organisierte diese Veranstaltung gemeinsam mit der Aktion Deutschland Hilft e.V. in den Lokalitäten der Malteser in Deutschland in Köln. Am Vormittag fand eine Online sowie Präsenzveranstaltung statt, bei der der Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland (ASB), die Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe Rheinland-Westfalen-Lippe (DKH RWL) und die Katastophenforschungsstelle (KFS) der Freie Universität Berlin, jeweils einen Impulsvortag zu dem Thema „Praxisaustausch: Katastrophenhilfe und -bewältigung in Ausland und Inland“ hielten. Diese Vorträge zielten auf die Stärkung des Netzwerkes zwischen Akteur:innen der #Katastrophenhilfe und -bewältigung im nationalen und internationalen Kontext ab, um einen Austausch zu Ansätzen, guten #Praxiserfahrungen und Schlussfolgerungen zu ermöglichen. Die Aufzeichnung des Vormittags finden Sie kommende Woche auf dem DKKV-YouTube-Kanal. 💻 Auf der Website des DKKV sind die Präsentationsfolien von ASB, DKH RWL und KFS in kürze verfügbar. Am Nachmittag gab es eine #Workshop-Reihe für die in Präsenz anwesenden Gäste. An 5 verschiedenen Tischen tauschten sich in zwei Runden die Teilnehmer:innen zu unterschiedlichen Themen aus, analysierten den aktuellen Stand, teilten #Praxiserfahrungen und identifizierten Austauschbedarfe und nächste Schritte. ⚙ 1. Koordination übergeordneter Strukturen 2. Zusammenarbeit mit Spontanhelferinitiativen 3. Bedarfsermittlung 4. Gemeinwesenbasierte Katastrophenvorsorge 5. Inklusion vulnerabler Gruppen ✔ Nach einem zweistündigen Workshop haben alle Teilnehmer:innen zusammengefunden und ihre Ergebnisse ausgetauscht. Die ADH und das DKKV bedanken sich ganz herzlich bei allen Teilnehmer:innen für den intensiven Austausch aus verschiedenen Perspektiven und der Malteser für die Bereitstellung der Räumlichkeiten.

Mit der Organisation dieser Veranstaltung hoffen wir, Ihnen zu zeigen, was dies in der Praxis bedeutet. Ein interaktiver Workshop wird Sie mit dem Konzept der Narrativen Medizin vertraut machen. Gemeinsam mit Prof.in Dr.in Anita Wohlmann werden wir schreiben, brainstormen und die Rolle von Geisteswissenschaften und Kunst im medizinischen Kontext diskutieren. Der Workshop wird von einer Podiumsdiskussion begleitet.
