Yes, Dangote is Richer than Otedola Let's take a look at this two iconic figures in our beloved country Nigeria, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Mr. Femi Otedola. Separately, they are giants in their respective fields. Dangote, a business mogul with a massive conglomerate that spans across Africa, and Otedola, an oil magnate with a golden touch. Their success stories alone are enough to inspire generations. But what's even more remarkable? Their friendship. What can we learn from their friendship? That success isn't just about wealth or power, but also about the people you share it with. That even at the pinnacle of success, it's the relationships we build and nurture that truly enrich our lives. And that collaboration, mutual respect, and trust can lead to even greater heights than competition ever could. Imagine, if two of the most successful men in Africa can put aside ego and rivalry to build a bond based on mutual respect, then surely we can do the same. What strategies and initiatives can the World Bank implement to promote access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for the Batwa people in Burundi? 3. How can the World Bank support the preservation and protection of the ancestral lands and natural resources of the Batwa community, while also promoting sustainable development? 4. What financial and technical assistance can the World Bank provide to organizations like IPREBAD to strengthen their capacity in implementing projects and initiatives that benefit the Batwa indigenous peoples? 5. How can the World Bank collaborate with local stakeholders, including the Batwa community, to ensure that development projects are culturally sensitive and respect the traditional knowledge and practices of the Batwa people? I want to celebrate a win. I want to thank you all and share my gratitude for winning the Otago University 3MT Grand Final doctorate 'People's Choice' in 2023 by an overwhelming margin. Leading people through a thesis in just three minutes (3MT) is not easy. Keep it simple and practice. It is an outstanding win for the Business School and the Doctor of Bus Admin Programme (currently ranked no.1 in the world). My research confronts the critical issue of continuing global biodiversity loss due to a global wildlife investment gap. In just 50 years, the Living Planet Index has collapsed by 70%. The UN is calling for urgent action saying the situation is now critical.   Yet we spend more on cosmetic surgery and cosmetics than securing our children's future with nature. Are our children really ok with what we are taking away from them? Ask them. 'Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini' My translation; it is not my win, but our win.  We at Otago University are designing and testing a new bulk international financial tool that will help your children - it is called the BIC.
