Quality and affordable customer service training. Louis authored customer service training materials for American Health Insurance Plans and lectured throughout the US/Canada and Europe. Register at website.
Just finished hosting a community event I founded for honoring community Heroes. For the past 9 years we have honored more than 200 people from a restaurant chef, hotel clerk to pediatrician. So many companies do not have any program or event for honoring those people in businesses in your community that too often go unrecognized. Are you honoring those in your company who work behind the scenes and may be the most important reason your business is successful? How about a special lunch in your office honoring those staff who truly make a difference in your business.

Launching a national business. Fundraisers and happy hours. Teaching people how to curl (the sport, not your hair). Up for a Bonspiel, anyone? There were intros and catch-ups and updates on job searches and projects we’re working on, but, as is our usual way, we landed on a topic that garnered a lot of interest, ideas, some concern, and the acknowledgement of something that’s lacking in our region - the idea of a Welcome Wagon or at least a broad resource that helps people new to this area (or just looking for stuff to do) learn about the many activities, organizations, venues, and events that are plentiful throughout the greater Capital Region. Those of us who have been ‘round these parts long enough remember Metroland Magazine. They left the scene just a few years into the www days, but they were the go-to resource for finding out what there was to do in town - who was touring, what exhibits were on display, what events were there for us to enjoy and experience. Even though information is readily available today via our phones, desktops, and tablets, there isn’t a true aggregator of what’s going down. Understandably, that’s a tall task, and our arts and entertainment organizations are already trying to do a lot with less. It’s on us - those who plan, create, and attend events and activities to spread the word - especially to those who are new to the 518. What may be obvious to us may be completely hidden from them. Go forth and spread the word! 📢 📢 📢 Joining me this week were Kat Koppett, Rose Miller, SPHR, Joe Sullivan, Karen Candida-Lombardo, Roderick Sipe, Denise Horan, Dr. Tom Denham, Benita Zahn DPS,MS, CHWC, NBC-HWC, Lorraine Morales Cox, Ph.D., Steven Horowitz, and Kellie Fredericks. MEMORIAL MUSINGS. This being the week of Memorial Day, it got me to thinking about history, and how the world has changed drastically in some ways, yet not changed much in others. Would you agree that the pace of change has suddenly sped up over the past five years, and many of the changes are things we could never have imagined a decade or two ago? Yet, in other ways, things seem to have come full circle around to how they used to be long ago. Here are a few examples of some ‘new’ changes and some that have ‘changed back’: https://lnkd.in/dK9GMieh What examples could you add to this? Let’s see how we can expand on the topic in the comments! #ChangeManagement #WorkManagement —————- I’m Andre, Co-Founder and C.E.O. of #Optevo, and my, and my team’s mission, is to ensure your work life doesn’t become your life’s work. Whether it's a wedding, a team building day, a corporate event, or a gala, there is a great temptation to enjoy the fun and beauty of an outdoor space to make your summer event memorable. With record heat forecast for this summer, there are things you can do to minimize the heat's impact. But those things change your event and add to your expenses. Check out this article from Bride's to learn more about all your options, including the best one, which might be moving your event indoors to a venue whose greenbelt perimeter and floor to ceiling windows give you the benefits of an outdoor event without the challenges. https://lnkd.in/g5RNFxwa Want to know more?
