Check out what our Jubilee campers have been up to! From zipline rope courses and creating crystal trees to a Chopped-style pizza bake-off, they’ve enjoyed so many engaging activities! "Jubilee Youth Services provides out-of-school-time, after-school, and summer camp programming for kindergarten through 12th graders, specifically for Jubilee Housing residents. We also open our doors to the surrounding community. A key aspect of our programs is that parents know that their children are safe, and they are in a supportive environment around people that care about their children’s wellbeing. Those are the main reasons why people send their children to us." "I wanted Jubilee’s Children’s House to be my Peace Corps, and it would be like a little UN because I wanted it to be a real mix of races, economic backgrounds, and languages. I just wanted everyone to feel welcome. For the sake of the children, I wanted them to know people from other socio-economic backgrounds. I hoped that they would start young with those relationships and be together as children can be and just be open and loving and have those experiences early in life." Our Resident Services team hosted a fantastic Senior Workshop! Our seniors were all smiles as they received air purifiers, 7-outlet advanced power strips to conserve energy, and water-saving shower heads. We also partner with Food for All DC to provide additional food to our seniors every fourth Friday of the month. #SeniorWellness #JusticeHousing
