📣During the 1% campaign, non-profit organisations are using all communication tools to reach people. In its research on the fundraising market (2023), NIOK reports that less than half of respondents, 43%, regularly use the 1% tax donation option. The emphasis is that this is less than half. Debate education is proven to increase high school graduation rates and achievement in both middle and high school. In a 2023 study on the impact of debate, a Harvard researcher concluded: “These results provide policymakers a rare promising program for reducing inequality in reading achievement, analytical thinking skills, and educational attainment among middle and high school students.
