We talk a lot about building better futures at Deloitte #Luxembourg, so I thoroughly enjoyed listening to young, local entrepreneurs during yesterday’s 7th edition of Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg asbl’s ‘My First Enterprise’ competition. In an event brimming with innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, 12 finalist teams from 7 high schools presented their business plans, showcasing an impressive array of products and services. Our jury, which included Anne-Marie Solvi, Jean-Luc Bermes, my partner Maryam Khabirpour, and myself, were captivated by the quality of the presentations and faced the challenging task of selecting the top three teams. The commitment of these young entrepreneurs to create, manage, and nurture their mini-enterprises is testament to the benefits of ‘My First Enterprise,’ an initiative we proudly support under our #WorldClass programme. By cultivating entrepreneurial skills within young minds, we are not only empowering students for today’s business realities but also fostering the agility and leadership required for the dynamic world of tomorrow. Our firm has championed the remarkable work of JEL for almost a decade – a profound reflection of our commitment to shaping a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing this platform for the next generation of entrepreneurs to shine.
