Every time you eat is an opportunity to improve your health. But here in the UK, over 50% of our energy intake comes from ultra-processed foods and more than 90% of us are deficient in fibre. Research shows that our food choices are the most powerful factor in reducing our risk of disease — more than smoking, exercise or alcohol intake. (PMID: 30954305) Eating more plants, fibre and wholefoods is key for better health, but our busy lives can make this challenging. That’s why we created Daily 30 , a first of it’s kind wholefood supplement with 5g of fibre from over 30 different plants in every scoop. Unlike most supplements, we tested Daily30 in a randomised controlled trial (RCT) and the results speak for themselves — improvements in sleep quality, energy, gut microbiome composition and reduced hunger. Please stop discussing UPF to consumers. Guidance to reject UPF is not evidenced based or adding to what we know about food based dietary guidelines. Its confusing consumers (and nutrition scientists alike). Until we know more we should not be advising on it. Yes we need to cut down on foods that offer little nutrition but a healthy diet can contain both unprocessed, processed and UPF #SACN

Promoting consumer awareness about the health impact of ultra-processed foods is crucial. Acknowledging our knowledge gaps, it’s essential to prioritize access to functional, non-ultra-processed foods in both the UK and the US. This topic remains relevant and significant.🌱

Eating well truly impacts our health more than we often realize. It's alarming how much of our diet is made up of ultra-processed foods and lacking in essential nutrients like fiber.
