The Joint Office is celebrating the state of Utah today as they open their first electric vehicle charging station funded by the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program. The station, conveniently located amid the iconic red rock formations of Moab near Arches National Park, gives those hoping to discover the magic of the desert the ability to charge their vehicles despite the remote nature of their destination. The Round 8 Request for Nominations (RFN) for Alternative Fuel Corridors is now open! The RFN provides State and local officials the opportunity to nominate Alternative Fuel Corridors for designation. Alternative Fuel Corridors are tied to funding provisions under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), including the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program. In addition to nominating AFCs, the Round 8 RFN provides an opportunity to make recommended changes to the designated Freight Electric Vehicle (EV) Corridors. The due date is August 1, 2024.
