At the Fall '23 IHI Leadership Alliance meeting, I had the privilege to attend a session with Thomas Lee, MD, Chief Medical Officer, Press Ganey where he shared his thoughts and insights into the challenges healthcare workforce has endured over the past few years and how it impacts engagement. This was interesting data that shows the gap between physician engagement and alignment. For my fellow colleagues and physician leaders - what does engagement and alignment mean to you? What can we as physician leaders do to close the gap?
