🎸 Finding Balance Through Music 🎶
We all have our professional sides, but let’s be honest—everyone needs an outlet to unwind, reflect, and collect their thoughts. For me, that outlet is music.
Back in April, I was invited to an Open Jam at a local studio. (I haven't played with other musicians since February 2020)
It was one of those spontaneous moments where I didn’t know any of the musicians, except for the host—an old friend who plays bass (we played a few gigs together years ago for a friend's band).
This jam session was different: completely instrumental, all improv, with no plan but to create something together on the spot.
I wanted to share a few of the tracks we played that night. They’re raw, unscripted, and a little outside the box. It reminds me of something that resonates deeply, not just in music, but in life—especially in business: listening, giving space, and collaborating.
Honestly, playing improv music has probably taught me more than any professional training I’ve ever taken. It’s helped me understand the value of knowing when to step in and when to step back, and it’s a lesson I carry into every other part of my life.
🎶 If you have a moment, check out these jams. Would love to hear your thoughts!
