Beyond technical knowledge and skills, what qualities are essential for success in the rapidly evolving field of AI and Data Science? According to a recent post, it's a "creative integrator with an open mind, broad horizons, and the ability to embrace contradictions/paradoxes/absurdities." While technical skills and soft skills like communication and teamwork are important, this post argues that multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary thinking is critical for generating innovative ideas and products. The author acknowledges that they may not be as up-to-date with new technologies as recent graduates, but their experience and unique perspective make them a valuable asset to any team.
