Earlier this week, Pavilion hosted a webinar for suppliers who have been awarded cooperative contracts by a particular cooperative organization. During the discussion, we asked these awarded suppliers how they typically promote their cooperative contracts. What did they say? The good news is that most have a promotion strategy - only 13% shared that they're not yet actively promoting their contracts, but the top tactic was mentioning contracts in active sales conversations. Most suppliers still aren't maximizing the value of their contracts. At Pavilion, we're seeing that we can help suppliers win new business by helping them be discovered at the moment a public entity has a need and a preference to use a cooperative contract, but has not yet decided on who to work with. In other words: by showing up in search results, suppliers are starting new conversations and winning new customers with their contracts that their sales teams would have otherwise missed! Cooperative contracts can help you win new business when you meet your potential customers at the right moment with the right contract vehicle. 🤝 🚀

💡 FREE TIP FRIDAY 💡 Question: What do you think is a big DO or a big DON'T in sales outreaches? Answer: (large shipper) Emails are good, however in-person is always my preferred method to meet new brokers / carriers.  If you recognize someone is going to an upcoming event, ask them to meet with you for 15 minutes. I felt this one was timely, because companies are planning their marketing and sales budgets right now for 2024 and that includes the conferences they are planning to attend. We recently gathered our sales and marketing teams for the first commercial conference since 2017. During the conference, the team reflected on achievements in previous years, analysed the strengths and weaknesses in our approach, and shared our plans for the future and how to further grow with our customers.
