We as Memory Group are very pleased to share with all of you that we won the CorporateLiveWire Innovation & Excellence Award 2023 in the Category “𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀”   Digitization and data is key in the recruitment world, so as an ambitious company specialized in the communication between (young) talent and employers in the Netherlands, we were focused on that the last few years, which turned out pretty well 😊.   What you can read in this article (see http://www.memory.nl) is that the judging panel was deeply impressed by the innovative range of opportunities that Memory Group provides to young people. Jobnet.nl for instance is accessed by more than 55,000 young professionals each month, whilst the annual career event showcases opportunities from a vast range of sectors. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 is the largest career event in the Netherlands for students and (young) professionals. Enabling them to make direct contact with top employers within the Netherlands and beyond. When combined with digital services such as 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵&𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 ‘𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶è𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀’ 𝗮𝗽𝗽 where employers can prepare and get in contact before and after the fair by building their own digital online talent pools.   Success always leaves you hungry for more, so that’s the plan which you can read in the interview in the same link as above. 🌟 Unlocking Career Insights: Highlights from Last Week's Virtual Event Last week,I had the privilege of participating in Grad Girls - Women 4 STEM virtual event,“A Students Journey to Career Success: Navigating Every Milestone”,where the amazing industry panellists Rima W. from IFM Investors, Morgan Thorndyke from REA Group, Michelle Israel from Leidos Australia and Malintha Fernando from carsales led by Cheryl Yeoh shared invaluable advice on navigating the path to career success. As such I'm excited to share some of the valuable insights gathered during this enlightening session. 📌 Starting Your Career Journey: Rima W. emphasised the importance of starting early in the job market.She highlighted the power of being proactive and networking,encouraging attendees to make connections whenever possible,as you never know who might introduce you to your next opportunity. 📌 Navigating Career Milestones Morgan Thorndyke provided insightful perspectives on career milestones,suggesting that starting simple and exploring interests can lead to meaningful discoveries.While also emphasising the importance of gaining experience through paid or unpaid work,passion projects, volunteering and to help you stand out. 📌Balancing Academics and Experience Michelle Israel shared practical advice on balancing uni life with extracurricular activities and work experience.She stressed the significance of having relevant experience in addition to time management,encouraging attendees to utilise university resources and connect with professionals to expand their networks. 📌 Transitioning into the Professional World Malintha Fernando offered valuable tips for transitioning into the professional world,focusing on confidence-building and preparation.She highlighted the importance of stepping out of comfort zones to build confidence and encouraged attendees to conduct thorough research on companies and attend career fairs. 📌 Crafting Your Personal Brand: The panel also discussed the importance of crafting a personal brand that reflects one's unique qualities and values.They emphasised the power of networking and leaving a memorable impression in every interaction to stand out in a competitive job market. 🌟 Elevated and Inspired: Armed with these invaluable insights, I'm filled with a newfound sense of empowerment and confidence,ready to conquer my next career milestone.With each insight guiding me towards my next career endeavour with renewed confidence and determination. We had the chance to join in at the e2i Career Summit 2024, hosted by the e2i, Employment & Employability Institute on March 14, 2024.  The summit brought together industry leaders, employers, and professionals to address the pressing challenges of talent attraction, retention, and skill development.  We were particularly impressed by the discussions on the role of soft skills, such as emotional intelligence and communication, in complementing technical expertise. These skills are increasingly valuable in an age where AI and automation are reshaping job roles and industries. Moreover, the summit highlighted the crucial role of organizations like e2i in supporting both employers and employees in upskilling, reskilling, and building a future-ready workforce.
