Stepping Into the Arena🔥 In today's fast-paced world, it's all too common to find talented individuals hesitant to embrace competition, often due to deep-seated fears of failure or, paradoxically, success. These fears, shaped by early experiences, caution us against new challenges. But the true path to overcoming these fears starts with a commitment to self-improvement. Recently, these two Rangers demonstrated this commitment when they volunteered to compete in the Spc. Hilda I. Clayton International Best Combat Camera Competition. Sgt. Landon Carter and Spc. Samuel Dreher stepped up without hesitation, embarking on rigorous preparation. They faced adversity, controlled what they could, supported their teammates, and ultimately emerged victorious. I am incredibly proud of Sgt. Carter and Spc. Dreher for their dedication and competitive spirit. A huge thank you goes to Maj. Mike Sheehan, 1st Sgt. Audric Burnett, and everyone at the 55th Signal Company for providing a platform for this competition. Their efforts in planning, logistics support, digital media coverage, and more were crucial to the event's success. Their professionalism, transparency, and communication ensured a seamless process from the initial planning stages to the after-action report. In a field where creators pride themselves on mastering visual information and essential combat skills, competitions like these are vital. They not only challenge the participants but also inspire the next generation of visual information specialists. Well done. #RLTW

There are several reasons why young Americans join the military. One of the most prominent reasons is their desire to serve their country. Regardless of the duration of their service, whether its 3 or 30 years, they are conditioned and forced into high-stress situations with a group of people from a diverse demographic to fight for a cause that is greater than themselves. These unique experiences add to the sense of comradery and purpose and are fueled by their mission to serve and keep their fellow servicemembers safe. In the field, they experience the importance of teamwork and trust that their teammates have their back, no matter the outcome. Often, once these veterans transition from the military, they face many new battles. A common theme is struggling to find purpose and translating the skills they learned in the military to the civilian world and private sector. Collectively, the Services do a great job of training our military servicemembers to fight wars. Unfortunately, these Services are only able to devote a few days of training to prepare the same men and women to enter the civilian workforce. Navigating through “What’s next? Or what should I do and in what order?” can be daunting. There are many different and disparate programs out there, the pathway to a seamless transition is cluttered and unclear. Warriors Ethos provides a “one stop shop” for our veterans. It is managed by former servicemembers who have experienced the transition and understand the importance of providing veterans with the reassurance that the transition from the military is achievable. Warriors Ethos gives them the confidence and tools to succeed but to continue our work, we need your help. Resources come in many forms: paid internships, vocational training, or monetary donations for training.

In life’s most unexpected moments, we find the connections that truly shape us. Four years ago, at a funeral for a mutual friend and my business partner in the active shooter prevention arena, I met Will. He was about a year into his retirement as a Navy SEAL, a 26-year path that taught him the depths of resilience, discipline, and strength. In the midst of mourning, we found common ground in our dedication to growth and our unwavering resolve to not just face challenges but to conquer them. From that solemn day, we forged an unbreakable bond, becoming accountability partners. Together, we've crafted a high-performing, two-person, objective-crushing team. Our journey has been one of mutual support, pushing each other to reach new heights and holding one another to the highest standards of commitment and performance. Our partnership is a testament to the power of unity and the strength found in accountability. Will, with his honed skills, and I, with my own set of strengths, have shown that even in pairs, high-performance teams can thrive, redefine goals, and surpass every expectation, especially during the ups and downs - and we've both had them. Becoming a good leader takes years of experience, and not everyone gets “it”. You have to put your heart and soul into it, but if you don’t have good support from your team and the buy-in from the supervisors, then it could take longer than expected. No matter your role in a company, always listen to your subordinates. I desperately needed a solution, but with each passing day, hope slowly slipped away. No safety net to rely on, no spouse to lean on, no desire to borrow money - and no other options to explore. But what I did have was my faith - unwavering faith in a God who had never failed me before. So I prayed. I believed. I anchored my heart in unwavering commitment and obedience to whatever God had planned for me, awaiting the next step in His divine plan. Just when my finances were about to run out, a former client unexpectedly offered me a contract twice the amount of my last one. Little did I know that the leadership team had been advocating for months to renew my contract behind the scenes. Through this experience, I realize that despite what it may look like, how desperate I feel, or how hopeless my situation seems, God is always working in the background, crafting a miraculous resolution. I have learned to trust Him and know that everything I go through is part of His plan, preparing me for a future I could never create on my own.
