SUSI Partners,BayWa r.e. Global r.e. team up on C&I solar in SE Asia Swiss fund manager SUSI Partners has teamed up with German #clean energy developer BayWa r.e. Global. to collaborate on the development, construction, and operation of commercial and industrial (#C&I) #solar photovoltaic (#PV) projects across Southeast Asia. The portfolio, acquired from Elements Green, consists of 10 plants known as Project Brindisi. The assets are located in the Puglia region and were energised between 2009 and 2010. They are backed by Italy's II Conto Energia subsidy scheme and have permits for future expansion to 10 MW. Our CEO Pauli Mäenpää, Chairman of the Board Timo Leino and VP in Latin America Rodrigo Ackermann sat down with local business media in Chile to talk about Korkia’s new investment in a solar and battery project development company. “Chile holds a special place in Korkia's journey. It was the first market where we built our PMGD solar power plant portfolio, so our learnings from Chile have guided our subsequent ventures in other markets such as Canada, England, Finland, Greece, and Italy,” tells Pauli Mäenpää in an interview with El Mercurio. Korkia is starting its second project in Chile with Solar Ray, a company developing solar and battery projects. MET Energia Italia, the Italian subsidiary MET Group, has signed a corporate power purchase agreement with MIX-IT for the supply of all the clean electricity generated at the Mirto Solarpark in Sicily. “Supporting MIX-IT and Mirto Solarpark in structuring and executing a long-term Corporate Power Purchase Agreement has been an amazing start of MET Energia Italia’s involvement in the PPA landscape,” said Giuseppe Rebuzzini, CEO of MET Energia Italia. “The capability to combine renewable generation with consumption will be key in the future to optimise the returns for investors and guarantee long-term price stability to large customers. “Also leveraging on MET Group’s renewable portfolio under development in Italy, MET Energia Italia is determined to play a key role in this area.” In addition to the green power component, MET will provide MIX-IT with any additional quantities of electricity required by the company and will sell Guarantees of Origin (GoO) to MIX-IT. “Increasing energy prices, recorded during 2022, have had important repercussions on the highly energy-intensive sector such as the telecommunications industry,” stated Alessandro Talotta, Executive President & Chairman of MIX-IT. “For MIX-IT it is no longer enough to choose the best supplier: sustainability, efficiency, awareness and transparency are the criteria that inspire our new way of managing energy supply.” #cleanenergy

✒ BOOSTING DISTRIBUTED SOLAR POWER GENERATION IN BRAZIL ✒ Órigo Energia, one of IFU’s investees in Brazil, has secured💰USD 400 million in additional capital from I Squared Capital. This will further accelerate the construction of solar farms and expand services to thousands of customers across more than 20 states in the country. “We are very pleased to welcome I Squared as a co-investor in Òrigo Energia. This will further boost solar power in Brazil and speed up the growth trajectory of the company, which has more than doubled its generation capacity and customer base, since IFU invested in 2022. Lightsource bp sells 294MW solar portfolio in Italy to EOS IM Solar developer Lightsource bp announced on Wednesday that it will sell a 294-MW project portfolio in #italy to EOS Investment Management Group (EOS IM) for an undisclosed amount. Lightsource bp said in a statement that it has agreed to sell six Italian #solar greenfield projects and then reinvest the sale proceeds in other local schemes. It noted that its Italian staff is progressing over 1 GW of mature #solarprojects and a substantial #energystorage pipeline. Elawan Energy and R.Power Announce Joint Venture for 2 GW Photovoltaic Projects in Italy Elawan Energy, a company of Spanish origin now part of the Japanese firm Orix, has announced the creation of a joint venture with Polish company R.Power Investment to develop 2 GW of photovoltaic projects across Italy. The law firms Watson Farley & Williams and DLA Piper assisted in the operation. The joint venture’s portfolio includes projects in the early development stage (greenfield) with a total installed capacity of up to 2.0 GW. These projects are expected to be ready-to-build over the next six years, with completion anticipated by 2030.
