For mid-sized hotels looking to harness the power of data analytics, here’s a concise roadmap to integrate your booking engine data with Google Looker for insightful dashboards and reports. Step-by-Step to Leverage Booking Engine Data: 1. Implement Google Tag Manager (GTM) on Your Website - Start by integrating GTM into your site to streamline the tracking of user interactions. 2. Connect Google Analytics (GA4) with GTM - Link GA4 with your GTM to ensure seamless data flow and tracking capabilities. 3. Map Out Booking Engine User Steps - Use tools like draw.io to visualize the customer journey within your booking engine, identifying critical touchpoints. 4. Define Key Variables - With your customer journey map in hand, pinpoint and define the variables you wish to track at each stage. 5. Implement Tracking - Execute the outlined steps and establish the predetermined variables in GTM to capture valuable data from your booking engine. 6. Ensure GA4 Receives Data - Verify that all collected data is properly being received by GA4 for analysis. 7. Test with GA4 Debug Mode - Utilize GA4’s debug feature to test and ensure all data is accurately captured and recorded. 8.
