An interstellar opportunity. 🛰️ Meet the Voyager mission team, who have seen it all – from exploring the outer region of our solar system in the 70s and 80s to the recent rescue mission of Voyager 1. 🔴 Tune in tomorrow at 11:30am PT for a Reddit AMA: https://lnkd.in/dBQy8fx

  • After receiving data about the health and status of Voyager 1 for the first time in five months, members of the Voyager flight team celebrate in a conference room at JPL. About 15 members of the team sit around a long conference room and are shown cheering and clapping upon receiving the good news.

These folks are part of the greatest feat of exploration humans have embarked on to date. Both vehicles are still flying after more than 40 years in space. Their legacy is extraordinary. Well done.

Outside of mission control at JPL in Pasadena there is a wall where mission specialists etc put art like graffiti of the various missions controlled from there That is a national treasure. Hope this goes up on that wall.
