What fills your cup?
This year I’ve been reflecting on what brings me joy.
As with most humans, the answer to that question, for me, is being around other humans.
I didn’t really do that last year. I spent a lot of the year in the office, focused more on “getting it done” than “how” and “who” I was doing it with.
Looked fabulous from the outside, but inside I felt very alone.
I took some time to reflect on that towards the end of the year, and concluded that what I was doing was just as important as how I was doing it, and who I was doing it with.
This year is all about community for me.
Today, I was so fortunate to get to spend Valentines as Galentines, an evening with friends, sharing stories, and experiences.
Last year, I’d probably have said I was too busy and made that my justification for not making the time.
I felt so much joy in community, and so much gratitude for the people who took the time.
Part of creating safer workplaces, and communities, is creating community, making time for wellbeing.
To walk, to talk, to eat, and to be human.
What can you do to create community?
