My name is Daniel and I am a resident of Fredericksburg, VA. My wife and I purchased a lovely brand new home. Only to have me accidentally flood the house. It was a crazy day. We just got done moving my daughter into college and what had happened was I was in the laundry room multitasking and doing a bunch of things and I heard my wife scream. So immediately I kind of just got distracted and wanted to see what was going on with her, so I thought I had turned off. The utility sink completely, only to find out that I did not. I closed the laundry room door behind me. And for five or six hours, I did not realize that I had a constant heavy drip going on in our full utility thing, which caused the great flood of 2023. At first, I reached out to my insurance company, not really knowing what to do because I've never been into any sort of major accident or caused any sort of accident before. I was going through the various Google reviews and I found Jenkins through many outstanding reviews. And one of the reviews actually head home and one of the things that they said was that the project managers were very attentive and really empathetic to a lot of the people's situation. So it wasn't just so much about a build as much as it was getting you through sort of a catastrophic ordeal. And I received a call back from one of their project managers, Dave, who was immediately responsive. And one of the things that I appreciated most about him was that. He sounded empathetic, he sounded concerned, which was completely different from all the other construction companies or restoration companies that I reached out to. My overall experience with the process was that not only were they efficient, they just had their systems all in place and that even if they did use subcontractors, the subcontractors seemed to be very aware of the overall Jenkins process and the systems that were already established in place. I could also tell that not only did they just have approved subcontractors, you could tell that these subcontractors went through some sort of like vetting or approval process. Which is extremely important to me because it immediately created a level of trust. Working with Jenkins was not only easy, I felt valued throughout the whole process. I felt like they made my house even better than what it was, even when it was in its brand new state before I did the damage. And this is kind of going to sound weird, but it was actually kind of sad to see some of them go because you've got to know and bond with some of these people and they took you through a very rough experience and they were your guides throughout the whole process. So, umm, you know, when, the day, when they're finished, it felt like they gave me something better than what I had before. And no, in actuality and going through this process, it is actually made me become more present and focused about what's really important. I mean, this was a horrific tragedy that I caused and wrecking my beautiful home, but I was very fortunate that I did not hurt anyone in the process. And that things can be fixed. So if you need things that are going to be fixed, such as a home, I mean, Jenkins is the way to go.To view or add a comment, sign in
