That was me, 5 years ago to the day, headlining a festival, to around 5,000 people.
See that blurry, chubby, pink spot in the middle of the stage?
At the time, I was living the dream.
Didn't care that the band took up so much time.
Didn't care about the travel.
Didn't care that it didn't pay much.
That wasn't important to me, at the time.
But things change.
And now, the idea of doing an extra 30 hours (and several hundred miles) over the weekend, makes me do a little mouth vom.
And that's the same for the job market.
What was appealing to most 5 years ago, just isn't now.
So we need to be adjusting our offerings in order to reflect that.
If not, we risk missing out.
Anyway, this is just a thinly veiled way for me to remind the world that I was, once upon a time, an interesting person doing interesting things.
