5 Surprising Facts I Discovered in Thailand 🌏 The importance of Respect and Traditions 🙏 When I arrived in Thailand, I was surprised to see how much Thai people respect their traditions and culture. The traditional greeting, the "wai", is omnipresent and shows mutual respect. Street Food Overflowing with Flavors 🍜 Although I expected to taste delicious dishes, the diversity and quality of Thai cuisine really surprised me. Every street corner seems to have its own vendor selling delicious local specialties. The Omnipresence of Buddhist Temples 🛕 Buddhist temples are everywhere in Thailand, adding a unique spiritual dimension to each city. Each temple is an architectural masterpiece as well as a place of peace and reflection. The Contrast between Tradition and Modernity 🏙️ Bangkok is a city of striking contrasts, where modern skyscrapers sit alongside traditional markets and ancient temples. This harmonious coexistence between past and present is truly fascinating. Extreme Tropical Climate 🌡️ I didn't expect the climate in Thailand to be so extreme. The high temperatures and constant humidity require real adaptation, especially for someone coming from France.

✨A documentation of Thailand-landscape, people, cultures, customs, history✨ The images/videos that expresses the feeling of a time and place, portrays a land, its people, or a culture in its natural state, and has no geographical limitations. When asked me, I always says Whatever the medium/quality/lighting, Whatever the being/human/non human, Whatever the shot/portrait/landscape, It tells story & I can capture that. *Thai culture values serenity and avoids conflict and sudden displays of anger. Visitors should take care not to create conflict and handle disagreements with a smile 😊, without assigning blame. *The concept of sanuk emphasizes that life should be fun, and Thais often display positive emotions in social interactions *Thailand is a land of beauty. From the engaging and unique Thai culture to tasty cuisine, Buddhist temples, and lively night markets, Thailand contains much to be discovered! #travelgoals #travelphotography #thailandtravel #thailandtourism #thaiculture #buddhism #thaifood #bankok #phuket #banglaroad

Japan is the cleanest country in Asia and among the world's cleanest Nations. Here are 2 cultures the world can learn from #japan for a healthier planet: WABI-SABI - (Find Beauty in Simplicity) Wabi-sabi celebrates the beauty of imperfection. It's like appreciating the unique character of a weathered piece of furniture. This philosophy encourages us to step back from our fast-paced lives and value the simplicity and authenticity of the world around us. Example: Instead of constantly pursuing the latest gadgets or fashion items, appreciate the functionality and memories associated with the ones you already have. This shift in perspective reduces unnecessary consumption. KINTSUGI- (Embrace Imperfections) The art of "kintsugi" repairs broken pottery with gold, celebrating flaws and history. We can apply this idea to our lives, appreciating scars and giving things a second chance. Let's move away from throwing things out so quickly. Example: Instead of discarding a cherished mug with a crack, consider repairing it and displaying it proudly. This not only preserves the mug but also holds sentimental value. Green greetings and a happy new month from, Nmachukwu Onyema - International GEM. #internationalgem #japan #climatechange
