Hire Clinical Operations & PM Professionals in 30 Days (or Less) | Life Science Recruiter | Host of The Huxley Morton Podcast 🎙
Clinical Operations Hiring Managers 👋 So…you're looking to recruit top-performing people for your team but if you looked at the 'Job Adverts' for your own positions would you apply? If I've got you curious go take a look…. My guess is that they'll look something like this 👇 -------- 🔵Company Overview: Who YOU are. ( General overview that perhaps includes …. Number of employees. When you were founded etc.) 🔵Position Overview: Noting who the person will report to and what YOU will have them doing ( You know... Turn up at 9am, work 8 hours a day, and all that fun stuff) 🔵Key Responsibilities: Insert a long list of bullet points detailing what YOU want people to carry out 🔵Skills and Qualifications: Insert another long list of bullet points detailing what YOU skills you want people to have. 🔵Education: Slightly less bullet points and a note that if someone has 20 years of experience you'll overlook the fact they don’t have a master's degree or PhD ( unless you don't like them once you interview them in which case these become essential) 🔵Other note: Note… you're an equal employer Note… compensation is competitive Note… NO AGENCIES (You definitely don't need one because the advert above is going to bag you your next superstar 😂) ------- How did I do? Would you apply? Or does your advert look just like everyone else's? #clinicalresearch #hiring #jobadvert #jobs #clinicaloperations

7molol! This made me laugh out loud! You nailed it. So many companies Im sure just take another company’s advert and tweak a few things pertinent to their org. Never giving any actual thought to the finished product. What’s ironic is that they are recruiting for a role whose explicit responsibility is all about making sure the finished “product” is as close to perfect as possible.
