How can European youth elevate their communities through entrepreneurship? The "Re-Power Your Future" initiative, supported by UniCredit Foundation, is designed to combat early school leaving and empower Europe's youth through real entrepreneurial experiences. This year, at #Gen_E 2024, the team Devecol, a group of twelve talented students from a secondary technical school in Bratislava, has won the UniCredit Foundation #RePower Your Future Award. This award celebrates the best JA business ideas that aim to support social mobility and elevate communities through social engagement, and is part of a larger three-year initiative by JA Europe and UniCredit Foundation designed to equip youth with entrepreneurial skills and knowledge for future success. As a market systems project, the Cultivons L'Esprit d'Entreprise (CLE) youth entrepreneurship project leveraged partners at all tiers of Burkinabé society as part of its implementation. Even so, lessons learned as the project came to a close in December prompted Tanager and its funding partner, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, to determine what it would do differently next time around. Discover how the lessons from CLE are now being applied to a new youth engagement and employment program, Carrefour des Opportunités: https://bit.ly/4bwRNMI #youthentrepreneurship #youthentrepreneurs #lessonslearned

These are the sort of initiatives and partnerships that play a role in shaping the future of entrepreneurship on the African Continent.
Today marks a new chapter for our iconic 47 on Main Street building as it is set to become the Wits Business School Centre for Entrepreneurship. The eight-floor,15 000 square metre building, will allow Wits Business School to launch the ‘Wits Crucible’ a state-of-the-art Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE) and New Venture Creation, providing crucial business education, incubation, and acceleration services for youth and entrepreneurs in the Johannesburg inner-city. The Wits Crucible will provide four key units of entrepreneurship development support for youth, student entrepreneurs and Wits graduates. These will include a Development Unit to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills to ideate, launch and grow a successful business. This handover not only proves the power of partnerships, but also supports South Africa’s national imperatives – education and job creation through entrepreneurship and will set up a new generation of young people for success. #EmpoweringFutureInnovators #47onMain

Let's get practical! 'The Practice' is the second critical aspect of our holistic approach to entrepreneurial education. So, practically, how do we go about developing entrepreneurial skills throughout our various programmes? ▶️ With the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge 2D games, primary and high school learners practice their entrepreneurship skills by starting, operating and growing their own businesses in the game. 📚 In our Scholarship Programme, high school students put their business skills into practice during hands-on entrepreneurial workshops, seminars and conferences. 🎓 Through our Fellowship Programme, Candidate Fellows are given the opportunity to test their entrepreneurial skills through the IVC programme business accelerator programme. #AGOF #EntrepreneurshipGrowth #SuccessfulEntrepreneurs #PracticeEntrepreneurship #2DGame
