JA Europe is shortlisted for the Third Sector Awards 2024! We are thrilled to announce that our UPLIFT campaign, supporting vulnerable young Ukrainian refugees across Europe with learning, education, & digital resources, has been shortlisted for the Best Use of Social Media category at the Third Sector Awards 2024! What is UPLIFT? JA Europe and UNICEF Europe & Central Asia came together to launch UPLIFT, a unique education programme designed to support young Ukrainian refugees and adolescents in 11 neighbouring countries. Through digital and social platforms, UPLIFT provides these vulnerable youths with essential skills, mindset, and confidence to integrate successfully and build prosperous futures. What about our results? 🔹34 influencers shared their success stories, emphasizing entrepreneurial skills gained between ages 15-20. 🔹Reached over 302,000 young people through a paid social campaign. 🔹Attracted 13,000 users to UPLIFT’s free online education course, ‘Tools for Success’. Last week at #Gen_E 2024, educators and teachers gathered for an insightful session on "AI in #Entrepreneurship Education with Intel," exploring how cutting-edge technologies can transform the teaching landscape. Last week at #Gen_E 2024, we were privileged to host an incredible Masterclass on Mastering Market Access with FedEx featuring industry leaders John Willems, Head of Automotive at FedEx Express Europe, and Karl Johan Kristensen from EVstinguish Their combined expertise provided attendees with actionable strategies and deep insights into market penetration, supply chain management, and logistics. Our youth left the masterclass with a comprehensive understanding of how to tackle market entry, manage supply chains effectively, and streamline logistics ready to compete for the FedEx Access Award. We witnessed young visionaries, educators, business leaders, and policy-makers from across Europe coming together to share their passion and ingenuity. How can European youth elevate their communities through entrepreneurship? The "Re-Power Your Future" initiative, supported by UniCredit Foundation, is designed to combat early school leaving and empower Europe's youth through real entrepreneurial experiences. This year, at #Gen_E 2024, the team Devecol, a group of twelve talented students from a secondary technical school in Bratislava, has won the UniCredit Foundation #RePower Your Future Award. This award celebrates the best JA business ideas that aim to support social mobility and elevate communities through social engagement, and is part of a larger three-year initiative by JA Europe and UniCredit Foundation designed to equip youth with entrepreneurial skills and knowledge for future success. The Re-Power Your Future program has three pillars that aims to unlock the potential of Europe's next generation: 🔺Inspire 🔺Prepare 🔺Succeed In partnership with UniCredit Foundation, our Junior Achievement Romania team wanted to tackle the major challenge of high school dropouts across the country. Working in 365 schools, JA Romania introduced INSPIRE activities and PREPARE and SUCCEED projects that developed skill sets and engaged local businesses.
