Jack and Jill of America, Inc.’s Post

Jack and Jill of America, Inc. was happy to support Jack and Jill of America Foundation, Inc.’s inaugural Legacy in Bloom Spring Soirée celebrating over 55 years of advocacy and honoring philanthropy dedicated to transforming African American families, one child at a time. Jack and Jill of America Foundatjon (est. 1968) is the philanthropic arm of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. (est. 1938). At the event, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. National President Kornisha McGill Brown presented the Jack and Jill Legacy Award to Mother Fredericka Hill. Mother Fredericka is one of the children of Jack and Jill Founder, the late Marion Turner Stubbs Thomas. Mother Fredericka embodies the spirit of service and legacy that is Jack and Jill of America. She was instrumental in establishing a chapter in the Columbia and Howard County, Maryland area which became the organization’s Columbia, Maryland Chapteron Dec. 4, 1970. Today, that chapter continues to flourish. And, as a retired principal, Ms. Hill personally devoted her time to educating and developing young leaders. Her leadership nurtured generations of youth, shaping minds, and fostering community. Additionally, she preserved the very important legacy of Jack and Jill founding family members remaininginvolved with the organization. We were also happy to see additional family members of Founder Marion Stubbs Thomas at the event as well! Congratulations Jack and Jill of America Foundation on a beautiful event and your continued work for African American communities!
