We're grateful to have had the opportunity to attend the Girls Agency Research Symposium. AMPLIFY GIRLS’ work around building an adolescent girls agency survey is fundamental as we work towards enhancing girls empowerment programs. 🔍 Research shows how barriers to women’s agency limit their capacity to advocate for investments in themselves, resulting in fewer years of education, more limited labor force participation, and earlier marriages than their male counterparts. Providing girls access to life skills training enhances their abilities to make choices to invest in their human capital accumulation. 📚Our recent Life Skills Toolkit consolidates evidence from 16 randomized evaluations to discuss how life skills training can boost adolescent girls’ agency.
