Yesterday was International Women in Engineering Day and this year the theme was “Enhanced by Engineering.” The focus this year was to spotlight the women engineers that enhance lives every day. According to the Women’s Engineering Society, only 16.5% of engineers are women and we want to change that. It is a part of our mission to make space for women in the industry and champion the women that ensure the delivery of our expert service at Artic. If you would like to learn more about the women at Artic and what we are doing to make space for women in STEM, check out our article on International Women in Engineering Day: https://lnkd.in/d3X46ZNF Let’s celebrate women in engineering together! #INWED24 #facilitymanagement

This Sunday, 23 June, is International Women in Engineering Day. It's a significant occasion to reflect on the contributions of women in engineering and to inspire future generations of female engineers. A 2022 report by Engineers Australia found that women make up 48 per cent of Australia’s workforce, yet account for just 13 per cent of the nation’s working engineers. This disparity highlights the importance of encouraging more women to pursue and thrive in engineering careers. To mark this day, we asked Director Nicole Armit, BEnvEng and Associate Katie Teyhan, BEng (Mech) to share their perspectives as women in engineering. Check out the video below to hear their responses and join us in celebrating the achievements and potential of women in engineering. #INWED24 #EnhancedByEngineering #CreatingOpportunities
