It’s a wrap 📢 The revised ITS Directive was adopted yesterday by the Council of Ministers of the EU after an agreement with the European Parliament. This is a very important piece of legislation for our community and we are pleased to welcome the final adoption which confirms the significant role of technology and the data economy in advancing the mobility and transport sectors. It also reaffirms its role as the European legislative backbone of various national, regional and local mobility initiatives where technology and data sharing are the key components.    The Directive accelerates and better coordinates ITS deployment in order to improve the functioning of road transport and its interfaces with other transport modes. Safety, sustainability and congestion reduction are the targets of the coordinated deployment of ITS in the EU.
