On September 04, 2024, Dr.-Ing. Irina Kuznik defended under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Maik Gude (Chair of Lightweight System Engineering and Multi-Material Design, TU Dresden) defended her dissertation "Technology development for the production of multifilament yarns using ionic liquids from carbon-based biopolymers using the example of chitin and chitosan", which she wrote at the Institute of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology (ITM) at TU Dresden.
The doctoral thesis was supervised by Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Dipl.-Wirt. Cherif (ITM) and Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Gert Heinrich (TU Dresden, Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden e.V.). As assessors, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Yordan Kyosev (ITM) and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Niels Modler (Chair of Function-integrative Lightweight Engineering, TU Dresden) supervised the doctoral procedure.
