Several exciting trends are set to reshape the beauty industry towards a more conscious, slower consumption model: from localized sourcing and advanced personalisation to sustainable, circular practices. ✔︎ Localised sourcing: just as the food industry has embraced farm-to-table, the beauty industry is moving towards local sourcing. This enhances transparency and supports local economies, potentially giving rise to 'beauty terroirs' where products are not just made locally but are deeply connected to the area's culture and natural resources. ✔︎ Advanced personalisation: technology is paving the way for hyper-personalized beauty solutions. Imagine skincare routines selected precisely to match your genetic makeup or real-time skin conditions. This level of customisation would ensure maximum effectiveness and minimize waste. ✔︎ Circular beauty: the concept of circular economies is expanding into beauty. Think refillable products, biodegradable packaging, and zero-waste stores. It's a sustainable model that could drastically reduce the industry's environmental footprint. As we innovate, how can we ensure these practices are accessible to all? What are the biggest challenges and opportunities you see in these upcoming mouvements? Share your insights below! 💬 📸 : Emma Lewisham has a global circularity programme, 'Beauty Circle', which is taking back all used packaging to be refilled or recycle. #beautytrends #beautynews #beautyindustry #BeautyInnovation #SustainableBeauty #PersonalizedBeauty

Due to regulatory requirements and growing customer demand for sustainable products, many beauty brands are looking to reduce their environmental footprint. This presents a wide range of challenges, from the use of resources, raw materials and water to the impact of manufacturing processes and packaging. Additionally, while clean beauty has seen growing interest in recent years, it has also faced scrutiny out of concern for "greenwashing", with regulators and environmentally-conscious consumers demanding proof that brands are living up to their claims. #Sustainable #Beauty #CleanBeauty #Greenwashing

Current world events are heightening US beauty consumers' sustainability concerns, with environmental causes topping their list of worries, according to a new survey from NielsenIQ. As reported by PREMIUM BEAUTY MEDIA | Premium Beauty News - Brazil Beauty News, the survey found that 61% of US consumers associate sustainability with benefiting the planet, while just 26% associate it with societal contributions. BEST SUSTAINABLE BEAUTY BRAND GOLD – Sens8ate Hip & Healthy awarded Sens8ate Skincare a Gold award for the Best Sustainable Beauty Brand in 2021 just a few months after launch. This is what they had to say - "With so many sustainable beauty brands cropping up all over the place, it’s hard to find one that stands out from the crowd. Until Sens8ate, that is. Ticking all the natural beauty boxes, its products are made right here in the UK and blend the finest botanical ingredients with effective vegan-friendly formulas to care for skin in the most gentle way possible – whilst also being effective, of course. Their ethos of using only best natural ingredients shows on the outside too, as each product comes in a fully recyclable glass bottle or jar, lids are made from bamboo, and instead of plastic wrappers or boxes, they all come housed in a fully biodegradable, 100% natural birch box casing. As they say so themselves, “sustainability has never looked this good!”. https://lnkd.in/dTcUSEi ♾️ Our packaging is made from recycled glass, Bamboo & Birch Wood. ♻ #naturalskincare #sustainablebeauty #awardwinning
