Turkmenbashi International Seaport - A SIngapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) partnership with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). The cooperation between Turkmenistan and Singapore started in 2022, where SCE, in partnership with the IsDB, was invited to Turkmenbashi to meet with the leadership of the Turkmenistan Maritime and River Lines Agency (TMRL) and the Turkmenbashi International Seaport (TIS). While there, we also met and had extensive meetings with the various department heads within TMRL and the TIS. This provided us insights into the current state and future plans that the TMRL had for the Port. The SCE team was invited to share our findings and observations, including how we could work with the TMRL towards their envisioned state for the Port. 2 weeks ago, the SCE and IsDB teams made another trip to Turkmenbashi to finalize the scope of cooperation with the TMRL for the port, under the IsDB’s Reverse Linkage component which supports the soft component aspects of the IsDB’s Maritime Transport Development Project of Turkmenistan. We are grateful to Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), and especially to #Aminuddin Mat Ariff, Lead, Technical Cooperation Specialist, Reverse Linkage, IsDB, and #EmreEser, Operations Technical Lead, IsDB, for their leadership and support in our trilateral partnership with the TMRL. Thank you TMRL and TIS for being such wonderful hosts when we were there in Turkmenbashi. I am hopeful that this partnership will bring forth an exchange of knowledge and further deepen the partnership between our two countries, as we work towards the successful implementation of our project partnership. #Singapore Cooperation Enterprise #Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) #TurmendenizderyayollaryAgency (TMRL) #TurkmenbashiInternationalSeaport (TIS) #Eric Lee #Daisy Boon 文 清 清 დეიზი

Team MANTAQ happy to share recent and updated brief on "𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐏𝐄𝐂 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤". The Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority are the two key bodies established by the Pakistani Government in collaboration with China to oversee the progress of the CPEC. The Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) was established in 2013. The JCC is responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation and progress of CPEC projects while addressing any issues that may arise, providing a strategic direction, and facilitating communication between relevant institutions in China and Pakistan. In 2020 the Act of CPEC Authority was passed by the then government. The CPEC Authority has a mandate similar to that of JCC, which is to oversee the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of all CPEC projects, leading coordination between public and private sector entities involved, expediting the completion of projects, and ensuring transparency and accountability. To further enhance cooperation between the CPEC Authority and other governmental bodies in Pakistan, it is essential to establish effective communication channels and information-sharing mechanisms and adopt a clear division of roles and responsibilities. This will lead to improved coordination and strengthen the collaboration among the relevant stakeholders, ultimately resulting in real-time project monitoring, better execution, and an efficient CPEC project. #TADVEEN #Mantaq #CPEC #pakistan #policybrief #economicdevelopment

💭 Through one of Canada’s short-term technical assistance initiatives, Nexus Cooperation Inc. engaged in a thought-provoking brainstorming session in Côte d'Ivoire with staff and management from the General Directorate of Development Cooperation (DGCOD), moderated by Michael Wodzicki. The group delved into the new assignments and roles defined in Decree No. 2023-959, dated December 6, 2023, which organizes the Ministry of Economy, Planning, and Development. Discussions specifically focused on the new decree, the responsibilities of DGCOD, and its three central directorates: (i) the Directorate of Strategy and Studies, (ii) the Directorate of Bilateral Partnerships, and (iii) the Directorate of Coordination and Effectiveness of Development Cooperation. Similar brainstorming sessions were organized with other teams within DGCOD, aiming to develop a comprehensive Strategic Operational Plan to define priorities and reforms needed to achieve results. 🚀 The TAP-EDM / PAT-MDE project is funded by Global Affairs Canada | Affaires mondiales Canada and implemented by Alinea International. #NexusCooperation #StrategicDevelopment #CollaborationForChange #ATCanada #TechnicalAssistance #SDGs2030

It is with great pleasure that we inform you of the new mandate of Nexus Cooperation Inc. commissioned by the TAP-EDM / PAT-MDE for a project in Côte d'Ivoire. The PAT-MDE is funded by Global Affairs Canada | Affaires mondiales Canada and implemented by Alinea International. This twelve-month mandate aims to accompany the Direction Générale de la Stratégie et de la Coordination de l'Aide (DGSCA) of the ministère de l’Économie, du Plan et du Développement (MEPD). Côte d'Ivoire mobilized nearly half of its GDP in external resources between 2012 and 2020. This significant mobilization underlines the scale of the specific challenges linked to aid effectiveness in terms of alignment, ownership and harmonization. The DGSCA plays a crucial role in the implementation of strategies to increase the effectiveness of development assistance. Nexus' mandate includes carrying out a diagnosis of the functioning of the DGSCA and targeted technical assistance on priority areas of capacity building. Nexus will also provide support for the monitoring of Canada's cooperation program and development assistance projects in Côte d'Ivoire. Sebastien Hamel and Michael Wodzicki will be the two Nexus experts who will work together for this mandate. We are proud to contribute to this meaningful initiative and look forward to sharing the progress to come. #aideaudéveloppement #CôtedIvoire #odds #visezlesobjectifs #PAIF #ATCanada #ExpertiseNexus #CotedIvoire

We continue to gather feedback from CSOs groups in Naga City for the re-enrollment of the FOI Program under the 6th National Action Plan of Philippine Open Government Partnership (PH-OGP). Moving forward, being strategic with plans/activities is much better than being ambitious. Citizens put premium on quality over quantity of outputs, outcome, and impact. #PassFOILawNow #OpenGovernment
